What is this tour like?
Mr. Diver Red Sea operates from the Nabq road side of Sharm El Sheikh and rates 4.7 from 150 Google reviews. Their full-day boat diving package is two guided dives per day, and the day runs about 8 hours including transport there and back.
The package is precise about its two lists. Included are the two guided dives, 2 × 12 L air, belt, weights, a guide, hotel transfers and both taxes — 14% VAT and 10% entertainment tax. Not included, in the operator's own words, are diving insurance, equipment rental and early-morning, half-day or night dives. A third list, supplements and extras, carries the numbers that catch people out on the day: National Park and jetty fees per day, lunch and selected drinks, nitrox 32/36% and 15-litre tanks, and the long-range trips to the Thistlegorm wreck and to Dahab. The same day with one day of equipment rental is priced at $125, so kit costs $20. The $105 is the entry point of a published range that runs to $950 for the longest package — twenty dives with ten days of equipment.
Two things the operator says twice, differently. The price: this product page now sells the two-dive day at $105, where our September check read $95, and the centre's own home page still advertises 'full-day boat diving trips from $95 for certified divers'. And lunch: the page's sales copy invites you to 'enjoy a freshly prepared delicious lunch and refreshments onboard', while the booking terms further down put 'lunch & selected drinks' in the supplements-and-extras list. We quote the booking terms, name both versions and confirm the final figure with the centre before you pay.
