Three harbours in Dubai rent a jet ski, and the price is never per person — it is per machine, with a driver and a passenger on the same ticket. That single fact moves the arithmetic more than anything else on this page: two of you riding one ski pay once, not twice.

How much is a jet ski in Dubai?
AED 499 to AED 680 (about $136 to $185) per jet ski, depending on the harbour and the length of the ride. All three operators quote the machine, not the seat.

The two hour-long rides are within a dirham of each other. The Marina tour costs more because it is half an hour longer and runs as a guided group of up to eight machines, not because the ski is different.
Which harbour is closest to the Burj Al Arab?
Umm Suqeim. Nemo WaterSports describes its fishing harbour as the closest launch in Dubai to the tower — it is in frame before the engine warms up.
Searide leaves from Jumeirah Fishing Harbour in Jumeirah 1, further north and closer to Downtown, so you cast off with the Burj Khalifa behind the coastline and ride south to the sail-shaped tower. Ride in Dubai meets at JBR beside Dubai Marina, at the far southern end, and reaches Burj Al Arab about fifteen minutes into the ninety-minute route.
Searide, Jumeirah 1: the hour where the clock starts on the water
The Searide hour is AED 499 (about $136) per jet ski for one driver and one passenger. A certified instructor rides with the group the whole hour, and the operator states that the briefing time is not deducted from your ride — you get every minute you booked. Photos and video taken during the ride are free, and parking, drinking water and towels are on the dock. The base runs daytime sessions from 08:00; the exact berth and your slot come with the booking.
Nemo WaterSports, Umm Suqeim: Yamahas and a private island
The Umm Suqeim hour is AED 500 (about $136) per jet ski. The fleet is Yamaha VX and VXR — stable two-seaters that reach up to 100 km/h — and two riders can swap driver mid-ride at no extra cost, which the other two do not advertise.
The route runs out towards Sheikh Mohammed's private island and back past the beaches, with enough open water in between to actually open the throttle. The harbour is open daily 07:00 to 19:00, roughly twenty minutes from most parts of the city, and the operator offers free cancellation.
Ride in Dubai, JBR: ninety minutes and a lead guide
The skyline tour is AED 680 (about $185) per jet ski for 90 minutes on Sea-Doo machines, in a group of up to eight, with a lead guide on the water. The route takes photo stops at Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, and the ninety- and hundred-and-twenty-minute versions ride the Palm crescent as well.
The sunset slot starts at 17:00 with the briefing and gear, passes Burj Al Arab at 17:15 and is back at the beach club by 18:30 — the operator also runs a sunrise slot for the same light at the other end of the day. Guides speak English, Russian and Arabic. Hotel transfers, a seasonal wetsuit and gratuities are extra.
20, 60 or 120 minutes: what the ladder costs
Two of the three publish a full ladder of durations, so a short first ride does not mean paying for an hour you will not use.

Important
all of these figures are per jet ski. Nemo's two-hour route is the one that adds Palm Jumeirah and Atlantis to the Umm Suqeim coast; Searide's longer options are the same coastal run stretched out.
Do you need a licence, and how old must the driver be?
No jet ski licence is required in the UAE. Searide states its drivers must be sixteen or over and bring a government photo ID; Ride in Dubai puts drivers at usually sixteen and up and leads the group at a pace beginners can hold. Younger riders can come as passengers on the same machine at no extra cost, which is the practical way a family splits across two skis rather than four seats.
What to bring is short:
- swimwear;
- sunscreen;
- a towel;
- photo ID.

Which one should you book?
For the tower photograph with the least riding in between, Umm Suqeim. For the longest ride and a guided group, the ninety minutes from JBR.
