The Pattaya evening starts at five o'clock. That is the hour when boarding opens on the sunset catamaran at Bali Hai pier, and the hour by which everything daytime has finished. Below: four evening boats with exact times and prices, what closes before sunset, and what a night on the water costs for two.

Sunset on the water: four formats
The sunset cruise on a sailing catamaran is the most direct way into the evening: ฿2,500 (≈ $69) per person, boarding at 17:00 at Bali Hai pier, mooring at 20:00. Up to thirty guests on board, a shaded deck and nets on the bow, so people spread out across the boat rather than sitting in rows.
There is a stop inside the trip. Around 17:40 the catamaran anchors in an island bay for a swim and a snorkel — the gear is included — and only after that does the sailing leg begin: the sun goes down from about 19:00. Soft drinks and light snacks are in the price; alcohol, transfer and tips are not.

The evening can also be taken whole. The private sunset trip on the Serenity catamaran runs out of Ocean Marina from 17:00 to 19:00 and costs ฿35,000 (≈ $970) for the boat in low season and ฿44,000 (≈ $1,219) in high. The base rate covers twenty-five guests, each further one is ฿500 to ฿1,000, and the maximum on board is sixty.
Two other boats do not sell the evening separately, but their day blocks fall into it. The 41-foot Sea Lord is ฿25,000 (≈ $692) for the afternoon four-hour block and up to twelve guests, and the sailing Lagoon 440 Marry Merry is ฿39,000 (≈ $1,080) for four hours and up to twenty. On both, 7% VAT and a ฿200 (≈ $6) guest pass per person sit on top of the boat price.
What manages to finish before sunset?
The Pattaya afternoon is shorter than it looks. The morning sea trips come back to shore between 14:00 and 15:00, and after them there is a window of an hour or two before boarding at 17:00 — enough for something short, not for another day on the water.
Into that window fits the half-hour parasailing slot: the operator runs two departures a day, one at 09:00 and one at 15:00, at ฿800 (≈ $22) per person. You meet on Beach Road, and from there a boat runs out to the platform in the bay; booking closes two hours before departure.
The second option is to leave the sea for a lake. The cable at Thai Wake Park runs until 18:30 on weekdays and at weekends alike, and an all-day ticket is ฿1,095 (≈ $30), with entry from ฿450 for the morning session. The park is ten minutes by taxi from the centre, so getting back for an evening sailing at Bali Hai is no longer realistic — it is an alternative to the sunset rather than an addition.
What does an evening on the water cost?
| Format | Hours | Price | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunset catamaran, a seat | 17:00–20:00 | ฿2,500 per person | ฿2,500 |
| Private Serenity catamaran, low season | 17:00–19:00 | ฿35,000 for the boat | ฿1,400 across 25 guests |
| Sea Lord, afternoon block | 4 hours | ฿25,000 for the boat | ฿2,083 across 12 guests |
| Marry Merry, four hours | 4 hours | ฿39,000 for the boat | ฿1,950 across 20 guests |
For two there is nothing to work out: the sunset catamaran is ฿5,000 (≈ $138) for the pair, and it is the only format that does not need a group behind it. A private trip becomes cheaper than a seat somewhere around twenty-five people — and that is before the marina's ฿80 (≈ $2) passenger fee per head and the food.
Important
dinner is not part of any of these boats. On the private Serenity charter food is either your own contractor or the operator's buffet at ฿650 (≈ $18) a head; on both Pattaya Yacht Charters boats meals and alcohol are listed outright as not included, and you may bring your own or order catering.
The evening ashore
After mooring at 20:00 the evening carries on along the front. Walking Street begins in exactly the place where Bali Hai pier stands — at the southern end of the street — so it is a couple of minutes on foot from the gangway to the neon, with no taxi involved.

If the evening is meant for a stage rather than a street, tickets for the Alcazar cabaret are bought for a specific date and time through the form on the theatre's own site. The top tier in the hall — VVIP — is limited to twenty-four seats and includes a meet-and-greet with the performers and photographs with them; the venue's booking number is 038-410224.

Tip
if the evening starts on the water and ends in town, plan the journey in advance. The private charters leave from Ocean Marina in Na Jomtien rather than Bali Hai, and the ride back into the centre from there takes considerably longer than two blocks to Walking Street.
What should you bring on an evening trip?
Swimwear, a towel and something with sleeves: the swimming stop falls at 17:40, it freshens up at sea towards the end of the trip, and the mooring happens in the dark. No sailing experience is asked of you — the skipper and crew handle the boat.
A separate word on money on the day. A hotel transfer is not part of the sunset cruise price; on the private catamaran a minibus for eleven people is ฿1,800 (≈ $50), the marina's passenger fee is ฿80 (≈ $2) a head, and an extra hour on the water is ฿15,500 (≈ $429) if a slot is free.
