What is this tour like?
Saona Island Stars combine a speedboat with a sailing catamaran and stop at the Piscina Natural sandbank on the way. $85 per adult, all inclusive, with hotel pick-up.
The operator calls itself a Saona specialist and says its crews are on the island every day. Pick-up times depend on where you stay: hotels in Bayahibe are collected between 09:00 and 09:15, hotels in Punta Cana and Bávaro between 07:00 and 08:00, because the drive down is longer.
The lunch beach is a wide strip of sand with coconut palms and sun loungers, and the buffet is prepared there for the group. The operator describes its prices as all inclusive with no hidden costs — the only cash you need is for tips to the crew, the driver or the guide.
This catamaran day runs on Fridays and takes up to 50 people. Bookings can be cancelled free of charge until 12:00 on the previous day; after that a penalty applies, and a cancellation for illness is refunded against a medical certificate presented within 24 hours.
