What is this tour like?
Blue Ocean Sports teaches at Jebel Ali Public Beach, an hour south of Downtown along Sheikh Zayed Road. The drive buys you a beach with room to make mistakes on — a real advantage when a novice kite goes where it wants rather than where you meant.
The school runs the IKO Standard Progression: Discovery covers three hours of fundamentals, Intermediate eight hours of water skills, and the ten-hour Independent block takes you to riding on your own, which the school guarantees. Equipment is Naish kites and Prolimit gear kept under 120 hours of use, third-party insurance is included, and you are registered with the IKO at the end so rental shops elsewhere will hand you a kite. The school also runs wing foil and e-foil sessions from the same beach.
