What is this tour like?

Kite Beach is not a nickname — it is the stretch of Jumeirah coastline where kiting is permitted in Dubai, and it is where the school teaches. The water is shallow a long way out and the afternoon sea breeze is steady, which is close to ideal for a first hour on a trainer kite.

A private lesson is one instructor to one student, so the kite is in your hands the whole time rather than half of it. The rate covers the instructor, all equipment and VAT. If you already know you want to get riding rather than just try it, the school prices packages by the hour: three hours, six hours or nine, with the nine-hour block valid for six months. Two or three friends learning together can take the semi-private track instead, at AED 300 per person per hour.

What are the highlights?

  • One-to-one teaching, no shared kite time
  • On Kite Beach itself, the designated kiting stretch
  • Instructor, equipment and VAT in the hourly rate
  • Packages of 3, 6 and 9 hours at a lower hourly rate
  • Semi-private option from AED 300 per person

How many hours until I can ride?
Most people need somewhere between six and nine hours of instruction. The school prices exactly those blocks: 6 hours at AED 2,520 and 9 hours at AED 3,780.
Can two of us learn together?
Yes — semi-private lessons take two or three students with one instructor at AED 300 per person per hour.
Do you teach hydrofoil?
Yes — private hydrofoiling classes are also AED 450 per hour, with a beginner foil and a light kite provided.
Can I rent gear once I can ride?
Yes. A full set is AED 300 per hour, kite only AED 250, board only AED 150 and a harness AED 100.
When is the wind best?
The sea breeze usually fills in through the afternoon. We book your slot with the school around the forecast rather than a fixed clock time.
