I had an amazing experience with Funny Divers Hurghada. I dived with them for five consecutive days and every single dive was fantastic, particularly El Mina wreck. Both of my instructors, Mo Ali and Mo Ilwaheb, were outstanding — professional, patient, knowledgeable and always made me feel safe.
What is this tour like?
Funnydivers rebuilt its site between our September and late-September checks, and this programme is now called Discover Scuba Diving. The day itself is unchanged: one day, two dives, a briefing on safety and hand signals, a shallow practice session and then an open water dive with the instructor beside you, maximum depth 12 metres. All diving equipment is included, and so are meals and drinks on board — lunch, coffee, tea, water and soft drinks — plus free transfer from hotels inside Hurghada.
What changed is the price: €95 per person, where the old Introductory Dive page printed €65. The new page adds two things the old one did not publish: a minimum age of 10, and the PADI manual and certification inside the price. The operator still prints no couple rate. Two costs stay outside: hotels in Makadi Bay, Soma Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and El Gouna carry €20 per day per car, and rental equipment, where it is not already included, is €15 per day per person. The centre holds 5.0 on Google from 3,133 reviews as of 3 September 2026; many of the reviews name the instructors who took people through their first dives.
