I struggled finding a dive center in Ao Nang that could do 3 dives a day in the Ao Nang bay. Apparently this isn’t custom at Ao Nang, except for Aqua Vision dive center! They really know how to accommodate divers.
What is this tour like?
The snorkelling place on Aqua Vision’s speedboat, ฿1,500 (about $42) per snorkeller. It is the same trip the divers take — the Ao Nang Bay Islands, part of the Phi Phi Marine National Park — with the same 07:00 to 07:30 pickup and the same return by half past twelve.
That half-day shape is the operator’s whole pitch. Slow boats and long-tails from Ao Nang are out for most of the day; the speedboat gets there and back in half the time, which leaves the afternoon free.
Capacity is up to twelve people for a snorkel or sightseeing trip. What comes with the price: tanks and dive guide for the divers, snorkelling equipment for those who are not diving, lunch, drinking water and fresh fruit, and free round-trip transfers from Ao Nang, Ao Nammao and Nopparat Thara.
What does not: the marine national park entrance, ฿400 for the Ao Nang Bay Islands. Thirteen islands forty-five minutes off Ao Nang beach, three snorkelling stops from the dive boat Ingmarie, back on the beach at 15:00. ฿1,900 (about $53) for an adult and ฿1,500 for a child of 4–12 — the operator publishes both, so the price is per head. No snorkel guide in the water on this particular trip: you must be able to swim on your own.
