Krabi, Thailand · 5h 30min · up to 12 guests · ฿3,400 Per diver: the operator’s price table heads its column “Diver” and lists ฿3,400 (about $94) for the Ao Nang Bay Islands, ฿4,500 for Phi Phi. Marine park entrance is extra — ฿400 for the Ao Nang Bay Islands, ฿600 for Phi Phi. A third dive on any trip is ฿900. Bring your own gear and ฿300 comes off a full set, or ฿100 per item. · EN
I struggled finding a dive center in Ao Nang that could do 3 dives a day in the Ao Nang bay. Apparently this isn’t custom at Ao Nang, except for Aqua Vision dive center! They really know how to accommodate divers.
What is this tour like?
Aqua Vision’s argument for its own format is simple, and it prints it: rather than spend ten hours on a slow boat to make two dives, take the speedboat, dive the Ao Nang Bay Islands, and be back ashore by half past twelve. ฿3,400 (about $94) per diver for two dives.
The Ao Nang Bay Islands are part of the Phi Phi Marine National Park even though they sit in front of Ao Nang. The park entrance fee is therefore payable: ฿400 here, against ฿600 at Phi Phi itself, and it is not in the price.
The boat, the Andaman Dream, takes a maximum of twelve people including staff, with no more than four divers per guide and an average group of two or three. Up to three dives are possible in a trip; the third is ฿900. Tanks, weight belt and weights, dive guide, snorkelling equipment for non-divers, lunch, drinking water and fresh fruit are all in the price, and transfers from Ao Nang, Ao Nammao and Nopparat Thara are free.
Equipment is included. If you bring your own the operator takes ฿300 off a full set, or ฿100 per item for BCD, wetsuit, regulator or mask-fins-snorkel. Book three or more days of fun diving and rental is free or you take ten per cent off.
The centre’s Google reviews are largely in Russian and name Russian-speaking staff repeatedly; one English-language review describes guides speaking English, Russian and French. The centre has no Russian-language version of its own.
