I had a great experience with these guys. I had booked two dives in Krabi. I was picked up from the hotel. On the boat the diving instructions, dive sites and flora and fauna were described in great detail. There were snacks after the dives.
What is this tour like?
Krabi Scuba Club’s try-dive day: ฿4,500 (about $125) per person for two dives at the Ao Nang local islands, or ฿5,900 for the same at Phi Phi. No certification is needed. What is in the price, in the operator’s own words, is instructor, full gear, lunch and insurance.
The centre publishes its day-trip prices in a table headed “Price / Pax”, which settles the question a lot of Krabi price lists leave open — this is per person, not per booking. The same table prices snorkelling at ฿1,900 locally and ฿2,500 at Phi Phi, and a certified fun-dive day at ฿3,500 locally and ฿4,900 at Phi Phi.
Departures are daily from Nopparat Thara pier, the working pier just north of Ao Nang beach. Hotel pickup in Ao Nang is described as included.
If the try dive works out, the certification path is priced on the same page: Open Water at ฿16,900 for four dives, a refresher for lapsed divers at ฿2,900, and Advanced Open Water at ฿15,900 for five dives including the deep and navigation adventure dives. The centre is a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort and an IANTD cave facility, and prices cave and technical training too — an unusual pairing for Ao Nang.
What is always included, per the same page: certified English and Thai-speaking instructors, air fills, weight belt and weights, lunch and refreshments on boat days, insurance, e-learning materials and the certification card. National park fees are not.

“We had a very good time with the Krabi Scuba Club team. I went for the refresher course after my last dive almost 10 years ago and my husband went to get the licence. The instructor was super helpful and understanding when difficulties came up.”
“We booked and paid for a diving day in advance. Someone was supposed to collect us in the morning, but nobody turned up — we were simply forgotten, even though everything had been confirmed beforehand.”
