What is this tour like?
Railay Dive Center runs this three-dive day to the Shark Point marine park daily. Pickup is at 08:30, drop-off at 17:30, and the price starts at ฿5,900 (about $163).
The first dive is the King Cruiser wreck, the best-known wreck in the area. She was a car ferry on the Phi Phi–Phuket run when she struck Anemone Reef in 1997; today she is 85 metres long, 25 wide and roughly 15 high, sitting upright at 32 metres on a sandy bottom, and full of both structure and life. Because of the depth — 18 to 32 metres — and occasional strong currents, the centre restricts the wreck to Advanced Open Water divers.
Dives two and three are Anemone Reef and Shark Point, neighbouring sites covered in anemones and soft coral. The centre lists cleaner shrimps, seahorses and ghost pipefish among the small things, and turtles, leopard sharks and the occasional whale shark among the large ones. These two are recommended for all certification levels.
The requirements, as published: minimum age eighteen, minimum Open Water certification, Advanced Open Water for the wreck, and twenty logged dives. The number of dives on the day is therefore two or three depending on your level — which is also why the price reads “from”.
Equipment hire is free; dive computers and underwater cameras carry an extra charge. Free hotel pickup and drop-off is offered in the Ao Nang area regardless of which activity you book. A 25% deposit is taken on booking and the balance is paid on the morning of the trip.

No snorkel guide in the water on this particular trip: you must be able to swim on your own.
