What is this tour like?
The lesson is the way in. An instructor takes the boat out with you, hands over the tiller and the sheet as soon as it makes sense, and talks you through what the wind is doing while you feel it in the hull.
One hour is short, but on a beach catamaran it is enough to understand steering, trimming and coming back to the beach. If it takes, the centre sells lessons in packs of five and ten, and the same catamarans can be hired without an instructor once you are ready.
