What is this tour like?
The Independence is a 52-foot sailing yacht built at the Hans Christian yard to a design by Doug Peterson, and she is chartered privately: the price covers the boat, not a seat on it. The sunset trip lasts three hours and takes you out towards Koh Som and Koh Phangan under sail.
A VIP van collects you from your resort between 16:00 and 16:30 and the yacht leaves at 17:00. Around 18:30 you drop sail for the sunset over the Ang Thong National Marine Park with wine and finger food, and you are back at the beach by 19:30 for the transfer home. Skipper and hostess are on board, and the charter includes towels, water-sport equipment, a 3.40 m dinghy, snacks and fruit, an open bar of beer and wine, sunset tapas and one bottle of champagne. Two guests are included in the price and up to six can come aboard.
