Off Bávaro the boats all do roughly the same thing — a snorkelling stop, a sandbank, a run back along the beach — and the number that changes your afternoon is how many other people are on deck. Prices read on the operators' own pages on 2 October 2026.
- The shared cruise at $79
- Semi-private at $89, and why it costs more
- The whole boat: $675 and $785
- When private is also cheaper
- Drinking, ages and transfers
Shared: $79
Boat Trips Punta Cana charges $79 per person for three hours with three stops — one for snorkelling, one at an untouched beach with coconuts and a natural pool — and includes hotel pick-up and return, snorkelling gear, drinks and snacks. The operator sails with anywhere from 1 to 65 guests at the same price, so the character of your day is set by the booking sheet rather than by the boat.

Semi-private: $89
Happy Fish Catamarans runs a double-deck catamaran with a slide and caps it at 27 guests on a hull that holds 72. That is what the extra $10 buys: on a snorkelling stop it is the difference between waiting for a mask and getting in. A small-group version of up to 16 guests is $99 per adult.

Happy Fish also states where it snorkels — the reserve off Cabo Engaño, rather than the spots the large party boats use. Pick-up comes before the morning or afternoon departure.
The whole boat
Coastline Catamarans prices a private catamaran by group size: $785 for two to five guests and $885 for six to ten, with snorkelling gear, drinks, snacks and transfer in the outing. Its home page quotes $600 as a starting price.
Yacht Charters & Rentals Punta Cana is a different hull for a different day: $675 per charter for three hours on a 36-foot express cruiser with one cabin and a head, up to eight guests. The route is the coastline, a reef snorkelling stop and a stay in the natural pool, and the list of inclusions is long — captain and crew, fuel, transfer from your hotel or villa, fruit, nachos with pico de gallo, beer, rum, mamajuana, water, lemonades, gear and music. Departures are 9:00, 12:00 and 15:00 from Bávaro beach, and an extra hour is $100 when the boat is free afterwards.

When private is also cheaper
Both private figures are per boat. Divided among eight people the cruiser is about $84 a head — within $5 of a seat on Happy Fish's semi-private catamaran, and with nobody else aboard. Coastline’s catamaran for a full group of ten comes to about $89 a head, level with Happy Fish. For two people a private boat is a different kind of day rather than a saving, and it only catches up with a full boat: at six the cruiser is about $113 a head, and even at eight it stays above the $79 seat with Boat Trips.

Questions people ask
Is there an adults-only boat?
Boat Trips Punta Cana sells an Adult Party Boat for guests of 18 and over, alongside its standard cruise where alcohol is served from 18.
How do I know how busy my date is?
Ask. Boat Trips runs the same price with one guest or sixty-five, so the number is worth having before you book.
Is a three-hour party boat cheaper?
Yes — Kimbara travel charges $50 per person for three hours on a 70-foot catamaran with an open bar, and Pink Cat $65 with a slide and a floating bar. Both are party boats first, though each makes a snorkelling stop.
