Kitesurfing in Sharm happens in one place: the lagoons of Nabq Bay, at the northern end of the resort strip. The water there is flat and shallow enough to stand in during the early sessions, which is precisely what a beginner needs — you can stop, put your feet down and start again instead of being carried out. All four kite schools in Sharm teach on that same stretch.

Why is the spread so wide?
The spread from €140 to €350 looks dramatic and is mostly an artefact of what each school sells. Per hour of tuition, three of the four sit between €40 and €47.
What is each one actually for?
Kite Addicts' €140 lesson and The Kite Bubble's €225 session are both three hours, one instructor to one student, on the school's equipment. They answer the question "do I like this?" rather than "can I kite?". Both are priced per session, so the figure does not multiply by the number of people.
Red Sea Kiteboarding sells six hours split across two half days at €240 per person, which is how most people actually learn: a break between sessions does more than a longer first day. Bring your own group of two or three and it is €175 each, capped at three people — two friends learning together save €130 between them. Certification is available on request and charged separately. The school holds 5.0 on Google from 198 reviews.
King of Lagoon's €350 package is the whole beginner path in one purchase: sessions one to four, eight hours of lessons in total, the IKO licence, and one day of equipment rental afterwards so you can practise what you were taught. Further rental is 90 € a day for the full kit. The school teaches on the lagoon in front of the Laguna Vista Beach Albatros hotel and holds 4.9 from 172 reviews.
What does bringing your own equipment cost?
This is the line that surprises people who arrive with a board bag. Kite Addicts state a beach access charge of 10 EUR a day if you bring your own equipment. The Kite Bubble does not publish such a charge on its page — which is not the same as saying there is none, so if you plan to travel with your own kite we confirm the position with the school in writing before you go.

How big is the group, and how is it taught?
Kite Addicts and The Kite Bubble are one-to-one by design: one instructor, one student, for the full three hours. Red Sea Kiteboarding caps a group at three. Every school schedules around the wind rather than selling a fixed hour, and confirms the time with you in advance — which is the honest way to run a wind sport and worth planning around if your days in Sharm are counted.
How this fits with everything else
Nabq is the northern strip, some way from the dive centres on the Hadaba headland but next door to Aquarius Diving Club in Nabq Bay and Mr. Diver on the Nabq road. A kite lesson takes three hours and depends on the wind; a boat day takes eight and depends on the sea. Putting one of each into the same week works; putting both into the same day does not.
