What is this tour like?
JoyRide Watersports, a family-run business at Hondoq Bay in Qala, Gozo, runs this trip several times a day between 08:30 and 19:00. The boat first goes into the Santa Maria Caves on Comino: five caves, about 20 minutes inside, one of them the spot where The Count of Monte Cristo was filmed. It then takes you to the Blue Lagoon, where you can stay as long as you like; the pick-up time for the way back is set on the day.
A visit to the Blue Lagoon needs its own ticket, booked separately in advance — it is not part of the boat fare. If you only want the crossing, JoyRide also runs a direct boat to the Blue Lagoon from the same jetty, 09:00–18:00, for €10 per adult and €5 per child.
The boat leaves from the jetty at Hondoq Bay, under the big yellow umbrella. The bay has plenty of parking, public toilets and a kiosk with food, drinks and ice cream.
