What is this tour like?
Ritual Dive sits in the middle of Xlendi Bay on Gozo, with its own training pool, fully equipped classrooms and a team of SSI, PADI and RAID-certified instructors. The try dive is for anyone aged 10 or over who wants to see whether diving is for them, without committing to a course.
An instructor starts with basic diving theory and a quiz, then shows you the equipment you will use. In a very shallow area you can stand, breathe through the regulator and check the mask feels right; once you are ready to descend, you practise a couple of basic skills and then explore underwater for about 45 minutes. The two-dive option adds a second dive, and if you are comfortable you skip the skills that time.
No more than four divers go with one instructor. If you continue to the Open Water course, the try dive can be credited towards it; with the two-dive option, one of the two counts.
