I had the most amazing experience with Davy Jones!! Specifically Peter and Hector (they made my experience). I am a beginner diver (9 total dives) and they made me feel safe, comfortable and prepared. They were attentive and answered all my questions with patience. The dive site is beautiful and tucked away on a small private reserve. I will continue to recommend this Dive Center to anyone!!
What is this tour like?
Davy Jones Diving is the PADI 5-Star centre in Arinaga on the east coast that dives the El Cabrón marine reserve from the shore. Its Discover Scuba Excursion is the beginner entry: a one-day experience dive in the sea, no previous knowledge needed, €95 per person on the operator's price page. The page lists nothing as excluded, and it does not itemise inclusions beyond the dive itself — so ask us for the exact conditions of your date rather than assuming.
The centre holds 4.8 on Google from 208 reviews as of 3 September 2026. Its reviews are the reason to pick it for a first dive: a beginner with nine dives writes that Peter and Hector made her feel 'safe, comfortable and prepared'; another describes one instructor for two people and the calm, unhurried style once underwater. The site is tucked into a small reserve rather than a busy resort beach. English is the confirmed service language.

“Excellent dive center. Professional, calm, and very well run from start to finish. They prioritize relaxing once you're down there, which directly contributes to a strong feeling of safety, confidence and enjoyment throughout the dive. Very small groups, in our case one instructor for two people, plus a second instructor dedicated to a third diver who was training to qualify. It all felt almost VIP.”
“I highly recommend Davy Jones Diving! The course was absolutely amazing – full of open-water practice, which gives excellent preparation for future diving adventures. Everything was perfectly organized, and the atmosphere was simply fantastic. Héctor, our instructor, is full of energy and has a great sense of humor. He was able to explain every exercise and concept in a simple and creative way.”
