El Cabrón Visitor Pack — One Day, Two Dives in the Marine Reserve
Two shore dives in the El Cabrón marine reserve near Arinaga with Davy Jones Diving. €100 per person in resort with tanks, weights, hotel collection and IGIC; equipment rental is €25 (or €30 with computer).
Gran Canaria, Spain · €100 per person · EN
Excellent dive center. Professional, calm, and very well run from start to finish. They prioritize relaxing once you're down there, which directly contributes to a strong feeling of safety, confidence and enjoyment throughout the dive. Very small groups, in our case one instructor for two people, plus a second instructor dedicated to a third diver who was training to qualify. It all felt almost VIP.
What is this tour like?
El Cabrón, on the east coast below Arinaga, is Gran Canaria's marine reserve and the reason Davy Jones Diving exists: the PADI 5-Star centre is based a few minutes away in Arinaga and dives the reserve from the shore. The Visitor Pack is one day with two dives, tanks and weights included, and the operator's in-resort price since 1 January 2023 is €100 per person.
The pack is unusually generous about logistics: free collection and return to your hotel, transfers in and out of the reserve, tea and coffee, and the local IGIC tax are all in. What is not in is the equipment itself — €25 for the standard set for one day, or €30 for the premium set that includes a dive computer. The centre holds 4.8 on Google from 208 reviews as of 3 September 2026; reviewers describe groups of two per instructor and name Peter and Héctor as the guides. English is the confirmed service language.

“Absolutely amazing experience! I start this review by saying I'm an experienced diver of over 10 years. Peter and Hector were both fun and professional, making the experience easy and enjoyable. Hector led my dives, and was a great dive lead, showing me all the locations for rays, eels, crabs, and more! I read that this was the best dive center on the island, and it did not disappoint in the slightest.”
“I had the most amazing experience with Davy Jones!! Specifically Peter and Hector (they made my experience). I am a beginner diver (9 total dives) and they made me feel safe, comfortable and prepared. They were attentive and answered all my questions with patience. The dive site is beautiful and tucked away on a small private reserve. I will continue to recommend this Dive Center to anyone!!”
