I had 2 days of diving this past week and truly enjoyed them. Jose was an excellent dive guide. He found us a couple of manta rays, 2 cuttlefish, a sleeping angel shark and lots more.

This is Calypso's day for certified divers: two guided dives with boat entry off the south of Gran Canaria, €115 per person. The asterisk on the price list states complete equipment is included, and the guide is the centre's own. Three things are excluded and worth pricing in: a dive computer (rented separately), diver insurance at €8 for one day, and a medical certificate.

“They have really good dive sites and know where to find the best places. Depending on the weather they do boat or coastal dives. I did eight awesome dives with them and took some photos. Unfortunately they didn't have their own boat, but they pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the harbour of Puerto de Mogán where the boat of their partner company is based. You have a good chance to spot some rays.”
