What is this tour like?
The boat is the point of this one. It is a catamaran hull — two wings, a chill-out area, a bathroom with a sink, waterproof cushions, seats and tables at bow and stern, a sun deck, a Bluetooth stereo — driven by two 500 hp engines, so it reaches the islands at speedboat pace and sits on the water like a catamaran once it stops.
The afternoon covers the 4 Islands area: Railay, Poda, Tup and Chicken. There is a guided snorkelling session with a certified guide during the day, a welcome drink, gourmet canapés and a Thai buffet with a selection of tropical fruit, and then sunset on the way back. The last activity is the night snorkel, when moving through the water makes the plankton glow.
฿22,000 is the price of the boat for one to four people. A fifth adult is ฿2,100 and a child aged four to twelve ฿1,500. The operator lists the ฿400 national park ticket per person as included, along with the guides and AIG civil liability insurance; beer costs ฿100.
