What is this tour like?
This is the private version of the operator's day fishing programme: the same running order, but the boat carries only your group. Pickup is between 08:00 and 08:50, you are at the Ao Nang pier by 09:00, and the boat runs out to what the operator calls the big game fishing point.
The day is unhurried. You fish, lunch is served on board, there is time to sit and do nothing while the boat holds position, and then fishing resumes in the middle of the Krabi sea. At 15:30 the boat turns for Ao Nang pier and you are back at your hotel by 16:00.
The rate is ฿7,500 (about $208) for the whole boat with up to four anglers; the operator's larger boat, taking up to six, is ฿10,000. Tackle with bait, drinking water, fruit, drinks, snacks, life jackets, insurance and hotel transfers are included. Pickup covers Ao Nang, Klong Muang, Krabi Town and Krabi airport. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, sun protection and a waterproof pouch for your phone.
