What is this tour like?
Hera Cruises spends the day on its Turkish gullet Hera along Malta's north-west coast, sailing close to the shore past St. Julian's Bay, St. Paul's Islands and Mellieħa. The cruise runs from 09:30 to 17:30 with three swim stops: 30 minutes in the north of Malta, an hour in a bay in Gozo with lunch, and two hours at the Blue Lagoon on Comino, where the boat berths stern-to for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling.
The adult price includes water and soft drinks all day, Maltese ftira in the morning and a Maltese buffet lunch with beer and wine. On board there are freshwater showers, toilets, sun mats, a saloon with a bar serving snacks and drinks, a shaded canopy and swimming ladders on both sides. Cave tours and snorkel rental are extra — ask the crew on the day.
To go ashore at the Blue Lagoon you need a government access pass obtained in advance; choose the afternoon slot. Daily passes are limited — without one you stay on board and use all the facilities.
