What is this tour like?
Luzzu Cruises takes you around Marsamxett and Valletta's Grand Harbour, which the operator calls the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean. From the Sliema ferries the boat goes inside Sliema Creek, around Manoel Island to Lazzaretto Creek and the yacht marina, round Ta' Xbiex to Msida and Pietà creeks, then along the battlements and fortifications of Valletta and Floriana into the Grand Harbour.
There it continues to Menqa Creek, Marsa Creek and the inner basin with the Malta Ship Building Yard, on to French Creek and the Dockyard area, round the Three Cities — Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa — past Kalkara Creek and Rinella Bay and back to Sliema: ten creeks in all. The commentary on board tells the history of both harbours in English.
Departures run daily all year at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 16:00. The operator may alter or cancel a cruise depending on the weather.
