Parasailing at Tanjung Benoa is sold as one round in the air, not as minutes or metres. At Mekar Sari Watersport on Jl. Pratama, the round costs IDR 400,000 (≈ $24) per person: you are strapped into a harness under a parachute, and a boat tows you up above the bay. Safety equipment, insurance provided by the operator, a towel and a locker are included. What is not on the page matters as much: the height, the length of the round, the age and weight limits and the cancellation terms. Below is what you pay for, how the flight works on the operator’s own photos, and what to ask before you pay.
- What IDR 400,000 (≈ $24) covers
- How the round works, on the operator’s photos
- Alone or together: the contradiction about the minimum
- What the operator does not publish, and what to ask
- What else the same street sells
Important
The operator’s page gives two answers on flying alone. The parasailing listing says one person is enough, while a note under the packages says every activity package needs at least 2 people. If you travel solo, confirm before you make the trip to the base.
What IDR 400,000 (≈ $24) covers
Parasailing with Mekar Sari Watersport costs IDR 400,000 (≈ $24) per person for one round in the air. The price includes all the necessary safety equipment, insurance provided by the operator, a towel and a locker. The base sits on Jl. Pratama in Tanjung Benoa, the peninsula north of Nusa Dua, and the exact meeting point and time are confirmed after booking.

The operator does not mention hotel transfers, so plan how you get to Jl. Pratama or ask when you book. The other activities at the base, from banana boats to snorkelling, are each priced separately and are not part of the round.
How the round works
The operator does not describe the flight step by step, but its photos show the sequence. Guests are strapped into the harness on the deck of the boat, with the parachute already open behind them; the boat picks up speed and the parachute lifts them above the bay. The same listing at IDR 400,000 (≈ $24) is illustrated with flights solo, in pairs and with a family of three under one parachute.

Whether flying together changes the price is not on the page: the listing is per person, and the operator does not print a tandem rate. Ask for the price for your group, and give the ages and approximate weights of everyone who wants to fly.

Alone or together: the minimum
This is the one real contradiction on the page. The parasailing listing says “minimum one person”, so a solo flight should be fine. A note under the combined packages says every activity package needs at least 2 people to run. The note seems to concern the packages rather than the single parasailing round, but the operator does not say so, and a wasted trip to Tanjung Benoa costs more than a question.
Five questions to settle before paying
- Whether you can fly alone on your date.
- How long the round lasts in minutes, and how high it goes.
- The age and weight limits, especially for a child or for two people flying together.
- How you get to the base: the operator does not mention transfers.
- The deposit and the cancellation terms, in writing: the operator publishes neither.
What else the same street sells
On Jl. Pratama, Bali Jetpacks also rents jet skis, priced per jet ski for 15 minutes rather than per person; see the Bali jet ski page. Mekar Sari’s own list adds banana and donut boats, snorkelling, scuba diving, Sea Walker, flyboard and a glass-bottom boat to Turtle Island, each with its own price.
