What is this tour like?

Bali Jetpacks is a water sports base on Jl. Pratama in Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua, that also runs flyboard, parasailing, banana boat and other rides. Jet ski sessions last 15 minutes and come in 3 formats. With an instructor, IDR 450,000: 1 guest per jet ski, the instructor sits behind you while you steer, and guests under 16 can only ride this way. Self-drive, IDR 600,000: you ride alone within the designated operating area after the briefing, from 16 years old; the operator pitches it at experienced riders. Couple ride, IDR 750,000: up to 2 people on one jet ski with a combined weight of no more than 140 kg, and the driver must be at least 16.

No licence is required. Before every ride there is a mandatory safety briefing on how to operate the jet ski and the rules, and a life jacket must be worn the whole time. Eligible guests are covered by life/accident and medical insurance on the operator's terms, but the insurance does not cover damage to the jet ski on self-drive: the guest pays for repairs, and the amount depends on the damage. Rides depend on weather, tides and sea conditions and may be delayed, cancelled or rescheduled. For children, the operator says they may ride with an instructor depending on age, size and safety requirements, and asks you to check the age limits in advance. Professional photos and videos cost extra (price not published), and a floating strap for glasses is sold on site. The operator does not publish a deposit, cancellation terms or engine power.

FAQ

Is the price per person?
No, per jet ski for 15 minutes. With an instructor IDR 450,000 (1 guest), self-drive IDR 600,000 (1 guest, 16+), couple ride IDR 750,000 (2 people on one jet ski, up to 140 kg together).
Do I steer with an instructor?
Yes. In both formats you control the jet ski; with an instructor, they sit behind you and guide you, without them you ride alone after the briefing.
Do I need a licence?
No, a jet ski licence is not required for this recreational ride. You must follow the safety briefing and the instructor's directions.
Can children ride?
Guests under 16 ride only with an instructor, and children may not drive themselves. Whether a child can ride depends on age, size and safety requirements; the operator asks you to check the age limits in advance.
What if I damage the jet ski?
On self-drive the guest is responsible for damage to the jet ski, and insurance does not cover it. The repair cost depends on the size and extent of the damage; the operator does not publish amounts.
What happens in bad weather?
If the weather, waves, wind or sea are unsafe, the ride may be delayed, cancelled or rescheduled. The operator does not publish refund or cancellation terms, so ask at booking.
Is hotel pickup included?
The operator's jet ski page does not mention transfers. Ask at booking; otherwise make your own way to the base on Jl. Pratama in Tanjung Benoa.
