What is this tour like?
A single cave dive at El Chicho with Go Dive Bayahibe, inside the Cotubanamá National Park. $120 for the dive with equipment; park fees and tank carrying are extra.
El Chicho is one of the flooded caves in the limestone behind Bayahibe, and the centre sells it per dive rather than as a package, which makes it easy to add to a few days of reef diving. The price includes the full rental set in line with the rest of the centre's list; the dive computer stays a separate $10 a day.
Two lines on the price list are worth reading before you go: entrance fees and the carrying of tanks are not included, and for a cave in a national park both can apply. Confirm the amounts with the centre when you book the day.
This is an overhead environment, which is a different kind of diving from an open reef. Go Dive teach the TDI cave path and run longer programmes for divers who want to continue — ask the centre what your certification allows before you choose this dive.
