What is this tour like?
Blue Dreams combine two dives with an island day: the Atlantic Princess wreck at 12 m, lunch on Saona and the natural pools, or Catalina with a beach stop. $179 per person.
The first dive is the Atlantic Princess, a former cruise ship sunk deliberately for divers. It lies at about twelve metres, which the centre notes puts it within reach of snorkellers as well as divers of every level — so a mixed group can look at the same thing from two depths.
On the Saona version the day continues with a Dominican buffet on the island and then the natural pools, where the group drinks a rum toast and looks for starfish. On the Catalina version the boat stops on the beach for up to an hour and a half with a simple buffet of local food.
The schedule is fixed: Saona on Mondays and Fridays, Catalina on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with private departures on other days by arrangement. Transfers are extra and priced by zone: $15 for Dominicus and Bayahibe, $100 for Bávaro and Punta Cana and $120 for Uvero Alto, each for up to six people.

- The Atlantic Princess, a sunken cruise ship lying at 12 m
