What is this tour like?
Go Dive Bayahibe charge $100 for a day of two dives for certified divers, with the full set of rental gear in the price. A dive computer is the one piece billed separately, at $10 a day.
The centre publishes a plain price list and says outright that all prices include full equipment unless stated otherwise. A single fun dive is $70, two dives in a day $100, and from there the packages run 4 dives for $190, 6 for $270, 8 for $350 and 10 for $420 — the per-dive cost falls as the package grows.
The only extra on these dives is the computer. Entrance fees and the carrying of tanks are listed under the centre’s cave dives, not under the reef days.
Go Dive is an authorised SDI provider and teaches courses from the first dive upward, so the same shop can take you from a certified fun dive to a specialty. For divers who want an overhead environment, they also run the caves of the Cotubanamá park, priced per dive.
What are the highlights?
- Full rental kit is in the price, not an extra line on the bill
- One dive costs $70, so the two-dive day is the cheaper way in
- Longer packages are published: 4, 6, 8 and 10 dives
- The same centre also runs cave diving, if you want to go further
