What is this tour like?
A powered surfboard you ride without waiting for waves or wind: thirty minutes for €59 or an hour for €100, per person, in five afternoon slots between 14:00 and 17:30. From fourteen years old.
Jet surf is the odd one out among water sports on this coast, and the operator's pitch names the reason exactly: you glide over clear water without wind or waves. On an island whose whole watersports economy runs on the trade wind and the swell, a board with a motor in it is the one thing that does not care what the forecast says. That is what you are paying for as much as the ride itself.
FuerteCharter sells it in two lengths, and they are separate products with the same schedule. Thirty minutes at €59 the operator describes as perfect for beginners or those short on time — enough, in its words, to fall in love with the sport. Sixty minutes is €100, which is a lower rate per minute for anyone who already knows they will want the second half hour. Both are priced per person, for one rider on the board, and the adult and child rates in the operator's system are set to the same figure, so age changes nothing about the price.
Age does change who can go: the operator states that the activity is available from fourteen years old, and its system sells no child or baby places on either version.
One thing to plan around. Jet Surf is one of the operator's external excursions, and it says so plainly on both pages: once your reservation is made, it will contact you to confirm availability for the days and times you chose. So a booking here is a request until they come back to you. Do it a day or two ahead rather than on the way to the beach.
What to bring is short: swimwear, sun cream, a towel and sunglasses, all of which the operator lists itself.
