What is this tour like?
A full day for certified divers from Big Blue Diving in Sairee: two dives on Sail Rock, the pinnacle between Koh Tao and Koh Phangan, and a third at Shark Island. ฿4,000 with breakfast and lunch on board; the boat leaves every third day.
Sail Rock rises from beyond 40 m to about 15 m above the sea. Big Blue lists schooling chevron and pickhandle barracuda, bigeye trevally, batfish and marbled groupers there, and whale sharks in plankton-bloom periods. The chimney runs through the rock from about 5 m down to about 18 m.
The trip is for Open Water divers who have dived in the last 12 months; the deeper parts below 18 m need Advanced or Deep certification. The ride on the school's boat Enzo takes 1.5 to 2 hours each way. The third dive is usually Shark Island, sometimes Tanote Bay or White Rock, depending on conditions.
The schedule page gives the return as 16:00, the day plan on the same page as 17:00 at the dive centre. The October 2026 departures are on the 2nd, 5th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 20th, 23rd, 26th and 29th.
