What is this tour like?
The Phi Phi islands are the Andaman's most photographed seascape, and the difference between a group boat and a private charter is the difference between queueing and choosing. Here the boat is booked for your group alone, and the day runs at your rhythm from 09:00 until the sunset leg home at 18:30.
The route takes in Phi Phi Don, the cliff-walled Pileh (Phi Leh) Lagoon where a picnic is served on board, Maya Bay, Monkey Beach with its macaques on the shore, the Viking Cave and finally Bamboo Island for afternoon tea on the sand. Snorkelling stops are fitted in where the water is clearest on the day.
You pick the hull: a luxury longtail at ฿19,900 (about $551) or a premium speedboat at ฿21,900. Both prices are for the boat, not per head. The longtail is comfortable for up to four guests and takes eight at most; the speedboat suits six and takes ten. Departure is from the Ao Nang pier with free car transfer inside Ao Nang.
