How much is a try-dive in Ibiza?
€75 per person for 180 minutes, in groups of up to 8. That is the starting rate — the Discover Scuba try-dive. Courses towards a certification and guided fun dives for certified divers are priced separately by the centre. Two people trying diving together therefore come to €150.
What the €75 includes
An instructor or dive guide, full scuba equipment, tanks, weights and insurance. You bring swimwear, a towel and a prescription mask if you use one — nothing else. Because the gear is part of the price, there is no separate rental line to add on afterwards.
What you pay separately
Photos and video are an add-on, certification card fees are charged on courses, and transfers to Santa Eulària are not included. Tip: the centre is on the east coast, so if you are staying in San Antonio, count the drive across the island into the half day.
Where do you actually go in?
You do not swim out from the beach. The briefing and gear fitting happen at the centre, then a short boat ride takes the group to a reef or cave site, and the dive itself is guided from start to finish. Try-dives stay fully supervised by the instructor throughout.
Reefs, caves and Posidonia meadows
The centre describes Ibiza's dive sites as reefs, caves and UNESCO-protected Posidonia sea-grass meadows in clear, warm water. The Posidonia is the reason the water reads so blue from the surface: the meadows filter it, and they are protected for exactly that reason.
What tends to swim past
Grouper, barracuda and octopus are listed by the centre as common sightings, and the dive drifts over the meadows looking for them. Nothing is promised on a given day — it is the sea — but those three are the ones the operator names.
Who can dive, and from what age?
From ten years old for a first try-dive. What is needed is basic swimming ability and good health; experience is not. Certified divers of any age join the guided fun dives instead, and the same centre runs full certification courses if the first dive turns into a habit.
The first dive is supervised end to end
One guest describes going with just their mother, neither of them having dived before, and doing the try-dive with an instructor named Román. Another writes that she was nervous at first and that the team made her feel safe. Small groups are part of how the centre works.

How long does it take, and in what language?
Three hours end to end: briefing at the centre, the boat out to the site, the dive, then the logbook back on land. Half a day, not a full one — which is what makes diving easy to pair with something else.
Spanish, English and German
The centre works in those three languages and the briefing is given in one of them. Russian is not among the languages offered here. Important: a dive briefing is a safety briefing, so book the language you are genuinely comfortable in.
If the weather turns
For safety the centre may move to a sheltered site or reschedule, and a full refund applies if they cancel. Because the boat ride to the site is short, moving the site is usually the first answer rather than calling the day off.
How does €75 compare with Ibiza's other water days?
Diving is priced per person, which puts it in the same column as the boat trips rather than the per-boat rentals. Against the island's other half-days it sits in the middle: cheaper than a sunset catamaran seat, dearer than a coastal boat trip.

What the group size buys you
The number that separates diving from the rest of that table is not the price but the 8. A dive group of up to eight against a party boat of up to a hundred is a different kind of morning, and it is the reason the per-head price sits where it does.
