Two Guided Dives in One Day for Certified Divers — Undersea World, Ayia Napa
The certified-diver line of the Ayia Napa price list: 100 € for two dives in one day, against 55 € for a single dive. Longer packages drop the per-dive rate — 180 € for four dives over two days, 260 € for six over three. Shore diving is the default: a boat is a 45 € supplement per person, a night dive a 25 € supplement, and a full equipment set 30 € a day. Nitrox up to 40 % is listed as free.
Ayia Napa & Protaras, Cyprus · €100 per person for two shore dives in one day, equipment extra · EN · RU
I popped in the diving centre because it was the nearest PADI one to my hotel. Booked a double dive morning — including a check dive, as I'm just an occasional OWD diver — which was good and then got the suggestion to go to the Zenobia wreck and do the Nitrox certificate at the same time. I'm so happy to have done that. The instructor's supervision made sure everything went smoothly and safely. The diving centre manager Elena was extremely professional and with a friendly attitude to the customer. As a bonus I got some nice photos too!
What is this tour like?
For divers who already hold a card, Undersea World in Ayia Napa sells time in the water as packages rather than by the dive. The shape of the list is simple: one dive is 55 €, but two dives in a single day are 100 €, four across two days 180 € and six across three 260 €. The more you dive, the less each one costs — and 100 € is the natural unit for a holiday morning, since it is the two-dive day rather than a per-dive figure.
The local diving here is shore diving. Nothing on the list makes a boat part of the price: “Boat dives supplements €45” sits in a separate block, alongside a 90 € supplement for boat dives to Northern Cyprus and a 65 € line for the Jubilee Shoals site. A night dive is likewise a 25 € supplement rather than its own product, so a night dive is a package dive with a surcharge attached.
The centre publishes its own dive sites, and Green Bay 2 is the one it writes up in most detail: a shore entry, novice level, maximum depth 18 metres. Divers call it The Hole. You giant-stride from a jetty into about four metres of water, or walk in over the rocks; there are several swim-throughs, the first around five metres deep and roughly eight metres long, where squirrel fish and hatchet fish are common. The approach to The Hole crosses a ridge at about seven metres where the sea bed drops away; the entrance is at around ten metres, and you descend through a crack in the rock into a large cave that exits at seventeen to eighteen metres. On the way you pass a formation the centre nicknames the Millennium Falcon. Trumpet fish, soldier fish, groupers and octopus are the fish it names.
Equipment is a separate line and worth budgeting for: a full set, minus computer and torch, is 30 € a day, and single items run 5–10 €. Air upgrades barely cost anything — a 15-litre cylinder is a 5 € supplement, and Nitrox up to 40 % is printed as free in both sizes.
The Zenobia is not part of this. The wreck lies off Larnaca, and the centre's Larnaca base at Pyla has its own separate price list. The Ayia Napa list, which is the one quoted here, carries no Zenobia line at all.
