Getting out on the water in Ayia Napa and Protaras costs between €30 and €460 in September 2026, and every category has its own entry point: €30 per person for a four-hour cruise with Medusa Cruises, €50 per jet ski for fifteen minutes with Baywatch Watersports, €60 per flight for a single parasail with XS & Stephanos Watersports, €80 for the first hour of a whole speedboat with XS & Stephanos, €80 per person for a try dive with Easy Divers and €460 per person for the Open Water Diver course with AquaNaut. Two of those six prices are charged per person; the other four are charged per machine, per boat or per flight, and they cannot be compared side by side.

  • The entry price in each category, and the unit the operator prints it in
  • Why €50 per jet ski and €80 per person are fundamentally different money
  • What it works out at per head once you divide a boat price by its capacity
  • A day of two dives: three centres, the same €100, different contents

Important

Checked in September 2026, every figure below is one named operator's price taken from that operator's own page, in the unit that operator prints. There is no single resort price, and two neighbouring beaches count money differently.

What does it cost to start in each category?

The spread from €30 to €460 is not about luxury. It is about what you are buying: a seat on a boat, a whole machine, an hour of a self-drive boat, or a course spread over several days.

Why are €50 per jet ski and €80 per person different money?

The unit matters more than the number. Baywatch Watersports puts it plainly: €50 is for the machine, and a second rider on the same jet ski is not charged separately. For two people those fifteen minutes are €25 each.

At XS & Stephanos, €80 is the whole Jaroma for five guests, which is €16 per person per hour with the boat full. And €80 at Easy Divers is exactly one person in the water: a try dive is sold per person.

Parasailing is counted a third way — by the number of people in the harness. XS & Stephanos charge €60 for one, €80 for two and €105 for three; Baywatch charge €60, €80 and €100. Two people flying together pay €80 between them, not €60 twice.

Hence the rule for reading any price list here: find the unit first — per person, per jetski, per boat, per flight — and only then divide by the number of guests.

What does it work out at per head with the boat full?

Dividing a boat price by heads only makes sense inside the capacity the operator itself prints. Here is that arithmetic at full load.

Price per boat or per flight divided by the capacity the operator publishes. The three-hour totals at XS & Stephanos are added up from its own hourly ladder; the rest are printed as totals in the price list. Checked in September 2026.
OptionPrice per boat or flightCapacity per operatorPer person
Jaroma, XS & Stephanos, three hours€200 (80 + 60 + 60)five€40
Glass-bottom boat, Mike's, three hours€250 as listedsixabout €42
Glass-bottom boat, Mike's, full day€350 as listedsixabout €58
Yellow Regal 20ft, Mike's, full day€700 as listedeightabout €88
Jet ski, fifteen minutes, Baywatch€50two riders€25
Parasail for three, Baywatch€100threeabout €33
Parasail for three, XS & Stephanos€105three€35

Below full load the arithmetic flips. The same Mike's glass-bottom boat taken by two people still costs €250 for three hours, which is €125 each, against €30 for a four-hour Medusa cruise. A private boat pays off with a group, not with a couple.

What does a day of two dives cost?

Three centres print almost the same figure for a day of two dives, and the difference hides in the equipment.

A day of two dives at three centres: what the price list prints, what is included and what is charged on top. Checked in September 2026.
CentrePer personEquipmentNeighbouring lines in the same list
Ocean View Diving, Ayia Napa€100full gear included; €90 with your ownone dive €60, discounts from three divers, free hotel transfer within ten kilometres
Poseidon Dive Centre, Protaras€105"full equipment and guiding" inside the lineone dive €65, a MUSAN dive €75, Liberty and Nemesis €145
Undersea World, Ayia Napa€100taken separately: full set €30 a dayboat €45, night dive €25, nitrox up to 40% printed as free

All in, the order changes. At Undersea World a day with a rented set comes to €130 — €100 plus €30 for the gear. At Ocean View the same two dives with gear are €100, and €90 with your own kit, ten euros less. At Poseidon the equipment and the guiding are named inside the €105 line itself.

What does a day cost for two, and for a family of four?

For two people on Kalamies Beach with one operator: a fifteen-minute jet ski at €50 per machine plus a parasail for two at €80 per flight is €130 between them at Baywatch Watersports, or €65 each for a short, busy set.

A family of four with two children aged two to twelve on the Black Pearl day cruise: €45 × 2 plus €25 × 2 is €140 for four hours with lunch in the ticket. The transfer is counted separately, and the operator prints €5 per person on one of its pages and €6 on another, so agree the sum when you book.

The same four on Mike's glass-bottom boat: two hours cost €180 for the boat, which is €45 each — more than four hours of a cruise with lunch. In exchange the fuel is included, the boat is yours, and there are two spare seats in it.

What gets added on the spot, and what is free here?

Fuel. Mike's Watersports states that fuel is included and there are no hidden extras. XS & Stephanos names fuel neither as included nor as excluded, so ask about it before you set off.

The deposit. XS & Stephanos prints one for every boat: "€20 deposit per hour" on the smaller hulls, €30 through the middle of the range and €50 on the Sea Ray and the Four Winns Luxury, without explaining what it covers. Mike's publishes no deposit for either of its two boats.

Minimum bookings. The Baywatch jet ski safari goes out with at least two machines, so the minimum booking in its price list is €300 even if only one person meant to ride; four machines is the maximum. The MUSAN Try Scuba package at Easy Divers, €150 per person, needs a minimum of two guests.

Getting to the start. Easy Divers includes a transfer from accommodation in Protaras, Pernera and Kapparis, and picks up from Ayia Napa for €5 per person. Ocean View Diving drives free within ten kilometres.

Some things here genuinely cost nothing. There is no entry fee for the MUSAN underwater museum — you pay the dive centre, not the museum. Undersea World prints nitrox up to forty per cent as free. Masks and snorkels on the Scubacat catamaran (€45 per person) are lent free against a refundable €20 cash deposit. Easy Divers promise photos from the try dive at no extra charge.

Where does the operator itself say the price is not final?

In three places, and all three are worth keeping in view when you book. Ocean Queen marks its €50 as the initial price for one adult at the lowest low-season rate and publishes neither the VIP deck price nor a child fare. Ocean View Diving writes under its tables that prices are correct at the time of publication and may change without notice. Black Pearl prints the transfer as €5 per person on one of its pages and €6 on another.

Operators here do not print month-by-month surcharges: there are no high-season or low-season lines in their price lists. The price for your date is confirmed by the operator when you book, and that is the only way to fix it.

Common questions

What is the smallest sum that gets you out to sea?

€30 per person: that is an adult ticket on the four-hour Medusa Cruises trip without lunch. From the beach the shortest way in is €50 per jet ski for fifteen minutes at Baywatch Watersports, which is €25 each for two people sharing one machine.

Is the price per person or per boat?

Check the unit in the price list. Cruises and dives are sold per person. Baywatch jet skis are per machine, up to two riders. XS & Stephanos speedboats and Mike's boats are per whole boat. Parasailing is per flight, by the number of people in the harness.

Do you need a licence to take a boat or a jet ski?

Cypriot rules require either a licence or the status of a temporary visitor staying under thirty days, with a signed binding declaration; the vessel's owner checks that you have the necessary knowledge. Mike's Watersports additionally requires the driver to be twenty-one and to show a physical passport or ID.

What does it cost to visit the MUSAN underwater museum?

The museum itself charges nothing to enter. You pay the dive centre: a single MUSAN dive is €75 per person at Poseidon, and the Easy Divers MUSAN Try Scuba package is €150 per person for two dives in one day, minimum two guests.

When are lifeguards on the beaches?

The official beach records for this coast say April to October. The bathing season, when the state monitors water quality, runs from 1 May to 31 October. These are two different official periods about two different things, and they should not be added into one season.
