This is the hull to take when the group is too big for the small boats and you still do not want to buy eight seats on somebody else's cruise. The operator's own reason for the power is transit time: with 140 horsepower the run to the Blue Lagoon is short, so more of a four-hour hire is spent anchored than under way. It also points out that a heavy twenty-foot hull is stable enough for everyone on board to stand up and photograph the Cape Greco sea caves, which is not true of the small boats.
The ladder of prices is by duration and covers the whole boat: €170 for one hour, €300 for two, €400 for three, €500 for four and €700 for a full day. Fuel is included, and the operator states there are no hidden extras. It publishes no security deposit for this boat.
The requirements are stricter than on the base's smaller hulls. The lead driver must be at least 21 and must present a physical passport or national ID card at the Konnos Bay base to finalise the contract. The briefing here is described as in-depth rather than brief: the team trains you on high-power throttle control, handling the boat with a heavy load and advanced anchoring. The operator names no boat licence among its requirements.
What is on board: Bluetooth speakers, the freshwater shower, a swim ladder, a large sunshade and cooler boxes, which the operator provides — so bring the cold drinks and food to put in them, plus towels for after the shower and high-factor sun cream for eight people. Start times run every fifteen minutes from 09:00, and every rental must be back at base by the 20:00 station closing time.
What are the highlights?
- Eight seats on one hired hull — the largest self-drive boat this base publishes
- A freshwater deck shower and a swim ladder, which is what turns a fast boat into a swimming day
- Fuel included, cooler boxes provided, Bluetooth speakers on board — you bring the drinks and the playlist
- A large bimini top — with eight people aboard and no shade, an August afternoon gets long

- —Contract and the in-depth briefing
Physical passport or ID at the Konnos Bay base, lead driver 21 or over, then training on throttle control, a heavy payload and anchoring.
- —Fast run to the Blue Lagoon
The operator's own argument for the 140hp: transit times are short, so the hired hours go on swimming rather than travelling.
- —Cape Greco sea caves
The operator notes that the heavy hull is stable enough for everyone on board to stand and take photographs.
- —Swim, then the deck shower
Swim ladder down, and freshwater on deck afterwards — bring towels for it.
- 20:00Station closing
Every rental must be back at base by then, whatever the start time.

What do guests say?
“We hired the Yellow Regal for seven people for two hours and it was all great. The staff are very friendly and straight with you. The boat handled very well and had enough room for that many people. Highly recommended.”
“The induction and explanation were very thorough, all of the staff were extremely friendly and professional and attentive to my pregnant girlfriend and daughter, even going as far as to help them carry their things to the boat and helping them both on and off it. Everything was explained about where to find things on board and how to stay safe.”
“Good guys. We took a boat for four hours, but the weather let us down and we came back after two — and no, the money was not refunded. But: the next day we used up the remaining two hours. That is how it went. Recommended.”
“You can happily spend time here. The boats and the toys are all very well kept. The staff are super friendly, and the prices are fair for what you get. Next door there is a nice kiosk and bar where you can sit for a while and watch the boat hire going on. The beach and the water are worth recommending too.”
