Ayia Napa & Protaras, Cyprus · 1h · up to 6 guests · €100 per boat for one hour, the minimum rental, up to six guests · EN
Excellent! Really well run, friendly staff, and great equipment at a great price. We rented the 17ft Paxos for the whole day. Great little boat with plenty of room, and a full sun pad in the bow. The 40hp engine was plenty enough. The boat came with a cool box and ice, and snorkelling gear. We went out for six and a half hours, and there was loads of fuel left.

The argument for this particular hull is the glass. On a shared boat trip the people who do not swim spend the swimming stop sitting down; here the seagrass beds, the fish and the turtles are visible from the seat. The operator names three places it expects you to steer for: the Cape Greco sea caves, Green Bay and Turtle Cove, where turtles feed over the seagrass meadows, and the Blue Lagoon.
What you are hiring is the whole boat, up to six people, and the ladder is by duration: €100 for one hour, €180 for two, €250 for three, €300 for four and €350 for a full day. Fuel is included — the operator says so in as many words, and a guest who took another boat from the same base out for six and a half hours reports there was plenty of fuel left. No security deposit is published for this boat, and one German-speaking guest specifically praises the absence of any deposit games.
The requirements are short and firm: the driver must be 21 or over, a physical passport or national ID card must be presented at the Konnos Bay base — a photograph on a phone will not do — and everyone takes the briefing, which the operator describes as being taught to drive the boat, drop anchor and find the best viewing spots. There is a Bluetooth sound system on board; the operator's own list of what to bring is polarised sunglasses, a camera or phone, sun protection and snorkel gear.
Start times run from 09:00 to 20:00 in fifteen-minute steps, and every rental must be back at base by the 20:00 station closing time — arriving late for your slot does not extend the end of it. Booking is by request form, WhatsApp, Viber, SMS or email rather than instant checkout.
What are the highlights?
- Glass panels set into the hull, so the people who do not want to get in the water still see what is under it
- No boat licence required, but a compulsory dockside lesson on driving, anchoring and where to look
- Fuel is in the price — the operator states it plainly, and a guest who took a boat out for six and a half hours reports plenty left
- The base is on Konnos Bay itself, so Cape Greco, Green Bay and the Blue Lagoon are all within an hour's rental

- —Paperwork and the dockside lesson
Physical passport or national ID at the Konnos Bay base, driver aged 21 or over, then the compulsory briefing on driving and anchoring.
- —Out of Konnos Bay
Start times run every fifteen minutes from 09:00 to 20:00. The minimum hire is one hour.
- —Green Bay and Turtle Cove
The operator's own suggestion: cruise slowly over the seagrass meadows where turtles feed, and watch through the glass.
- —The Cape Greco sea caves and the Blue Lagoon
The other two places the operator names — the rock formations near the caves and the white-sand shallows of the lagoon.
- 20:00Station closing
All rentals must be back at base by 20:00, whatever time you started.

“We rented the Paxos boat from Mike's for the full day. The induction and explanation were very thorough, all of the staff were extremely friendly and professional and attentive to my pregnant girlfriend and daughter, even going as far as to help them carry their things to the boat and helping them both on and off it. Everything was explained about where to find things on board and how to stay safe.”
“Good guys. We took a boat for four hours, but the weather let us down and we came back after two — and no, the money was not refunded. But: the next day we used up the remaining two hours. That is how it went. Recommended.”
“I hired a 40hp boat and it all worked perfectly — quick handling of the paperwork, a good briefing, and no rip-off over a deposit or anything else. Happy to come back.”
