What is this tour like?
The operator's longest day: eight hours of trolling out of Corralejo for barracuda, wahoo, mahi-mahi, tuna and marlin, with the Faeton 910 Moraga booked for your group alone. €800 for the boat, not per angler; rods, reels, lures, licence and drinks included, out at 08:00.
This is the full-day version of the same operator's five-hour private trolling trip, and the reason to take it is time on the ground rather than time on the way to it. The operator's own line for the trip is that you hit the water for pelagic predators and troll for barracuda, wahoo, mahi-mahi, various tunas, marlin, and whatever else crosses your lines. He writes about the north of the island that the continental shelf is only a few miles out from Corralejo, which is what lets a day boat reach deep water without a long steam.
The boat is the Faeton 910 Moraga: 9.20 m, a deep-V hull, two 190 hp diesels, a wide unobstructed cockpit and a walk-around deck. The booking calendar puts a single slot on each date, and the operator's description of his private trips says the whole boat is reserved with the purchase and the trip is not shared with anyone else — so the €800 buys the day, however many of you come.
Rods, reels and tackle, lures, the fishing licence and drinks are included. The operator states there are no extra fees or fuel surcharges and that tax is in the listed price. A deposit of €160 is taken online and the balance settled on the day. Departure and return are at the Corralejo dock at 08:00, and he asks you to check availability on WhatsApp before booking.
What are the highlights?
- Eight hours instead of five — the difference between fishing near the shelf edge and staying on it
- The boat is yours: one booking per date, so the day is planned around your group
- Lures are supplied along with rods, reels and tackle — trolling gear is the operator's, not yours
- The target list the operator names is barracuda, wahoo, mahi-mahi, various tunas and marlin

- 08:00Lines out

- 09:00Deep water off the shelf
The operator's point about Corralejo is that the continental shelf is a few miles out, so the deep ground comes early in the day.
- 12:00The long middle of the day
The hours the five-hour trip does not have: working the same water while the fish move.
- 16:00Back into Corralejo
Eight hours after the 08:00 start the charter ends at the same dock.
What's included in the price?

“We had an amazing fishing trip with Pichon and Alfred from Corralejo and can highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic day at sea. The first part of the trip took place near the beautiful island of Isla de Lobos, where we caught live bait fish for big bait fishing later on. Even this part was great fun. After that, we moved into deeper waters in the direction of Lanzarote to fish with big bait rods using the live bait we had caught earlier. Pichon and Alfred were absolutely fantastic guides — professional, patient, and always ready to explain everything. As the cherry on top, we caught a meter-plus barracuda on the very last bait of the day.”
