Amazing experience. Top guy, really helpful and with an amazing personality — I couldn't recommend a better guy. Caught 5 fish and had an amazing time.
What is this tour like?
A seat on the boat out of Morro Jable for €100: an hour trolling down to Punta de Jandía, three hours of bottom fishing and an hour trolling home — the captain's standard plan for the shared trip. Hotel transfer, snack and drinks included, no more than four anglers on board.
This is the seat-price version of the same operator's five-hour charter from the southern port of Fuerteventura. The difference he names is who plans the day: on the private charter the guest decides, and on the shared trip it is the captain, whose usual shape for the five hours is an hour of trolling down towards Punta de Jandía, three hours fishing the bottom, and another hour trolling on the way back. With four people the maximum, a shared departure here is a small boat with a few rods, not a party boat with a rail full of them.
On what swims past, the operator is specific. Summer brings blue marlin, white marlin, wahoo, dorado, small tunas and barracuda. The big tunas come twice a year: skipjack, bonito and yellowfin of 15–25 kg usually first, in February, then a month later bluefin and bigeye of 200–300 kg; around September the skipjack pass again, followed by yellowfin and then bigeye and bluefin. His conclusion is that deep-sea fishing works all year, and his rider is that this kind of fishing does not always produce a fish — but that when a rod goes off, it is a good one.
The price is €100 per person for the shared five hours, printed against €400 for the same five hours private. Transfer to and from your accommodation, a snack and drinks are included. The operator keeps no fixed timetable and will go out at dawn — which he recommends — or late enough to return after dark; the departure is agreed when you book. Booking is by the site's form, by phone or on WhatsApp, on a line he says is answered around the clock.
What are the highlights?
- A published plan, not a vague day: an hour trolling out, three hours on the bottom, an hour trolling back
- Punta de Jandía, the southern cape of Fuerteventura, is where the trolling leg goes
- Four anglers at most, so the shared boat is a small group rather than a party boat
- Hotel transfer, a snack and drinks are inside the €100

“Brilliant. First of all, Víctor is extremely likeable, he adapted to us the whole time and his company was genuinely enjoyable. He let us fish, we saw dolphins, we snorkelled somewhere with crystal-clear water and then had a short run with a snack. Very, very good — the trip exceeded my expectations. 100% recommended.”
