Thanks to the whole R.E. team for their kindness and warmth. I have been windsurfing for 40 years and I am going home very happy at having managed my first sustained flights on a windsurf foil. Really, thank you for the advice on the equipment.
What is this tour like?
Wing-foil tuition at the René Egli centre on Playa Sotavento, taught on the sea with jet-ski support on North equipment. The Beachfly group taster is one hour for €75 per person with wing and accessories included; a two-hour private lesson is €240 without wing equipment or €270 with board, wing and accessories. From 15 years and 50 kg, wetsuit, life-vest, helmet and equipment insurance included.
Wing-foil is the youngest of the three sports at the centre and it is sold differently from the other two. There is no group course ladder here: the price list has exactly two teaching products, plus a rental ticket. The Beachfly group trial lesson runs one hour and costs €75 per person, with the wing and the accessories included. The private lesson runs two hours and comes in two versions — €240 if you sail your own wing equipment, €270 if the centre supplies board, wing and accessories. Both figures are per person, as the centre states on the page.
The learning path is described by level rather than by day. A1 covers equipment knowledge, wing control and a first experience on a board with a dagger-board, and a trial course is available at that stage. A2 refreshes wing control and adds practice on the water, still on the dagger-board. F1 is where the foil arrives: first foil practice, then using wing and foil together. F2 is controlled riding, upwind riding and jibes. Instruction happens on the sea with a jet ski standing by, and the instructors are licensed and multilingual with English guaranteed.
Between lessons, A1 and A2 participants can buy the hourly rental ticket — four hours €90, six €125, ten €200 — and it is worth reading what it gives you: windsurf beginner boards without a foil, plus wetsuit, life-vest, helmet and equipment insurance. It is time on the water to work on the wing, not on the foil. There is also a beginner combi: pre-book the A1 + A2 course of four hours together with a four-hour rental ticket and the ticket is upgraded to six hours, subject to availability and conditions.
As on the centre's other price pages, paying the invoice a week before arrival takes 5% off, without it the on-site price stands, and every course depends on the weather and on how fast you progress.

“Thanks to the whole R.E. team for their kindness and warmth. I have been windsurfing for 40 years and I am going home very happy at having managed my first sustained flights on a windsurf foil. Really, thank you for the advice on the equipment.”
“An ideal spot. Staff extremely attentive, friendly and helpful — you could not ask for more. In the best part of Fuerteventura. The right place for water sports: windsurf, kitesurf, wingfoil. Fairly priced.”
“Experts, and no shortage of very recent equipment. Efficient organisation. A nice corner in the shade of the palms to enjoy the sun out of the wind. One remark: since the move to the foot of the ZEL hotel you have to carry your kit 100 m — but the wind helps.”
