Captain Watt took great care of everyone. Boat is very comfortable with full shade and plenty of space. Great itinerary with only 40 mins at most between stops at different islands. We had some places to ourselves! Even James Bond island was blissfully quiet.

What is this tour like?

This is a private charter rather than a seat on a group boat: ฿33,770 books the boat for a group of 2–4, with skipper, fuel, drinks and snacks. Bigger groups can charter it too, at a higher rate quoted for your numbers. Simba Sea Trips has run trips out of Boat Lagoon Marina since 2005 and holds TAT licence 34/02111.

The boat leaves Soho Pool Club mid-afternoon. In Phang Nga Bay you put on a hard hat and take a torch into the cave chambers of Koh Phanak, cruise slowly past the floating village of Koh Panyee, wind through the mangrove canals and spend 45 minutes at Koh Phing Kan and Koh Tapu, James Bond Island. The last hour and a quarter is the run home as the sun goes down, with a stop to wade in at a beach, and the evening ends with a family-style Thai dinner overlooking the marina.

For a couple or a party of four there is also Lola, the operator's sports RIB, which runs the same itinerary at a flat ฿29,150.

What are the highlights?

  • The whole boat is yours — ฿33,770 covers a group of 2–4, no other guests aboard

  • Sunset on the way back, with a stop to wade in the water at a beach
  • Family-style Thai dinner with a marina view, drinks, snacks and national park fees in the price

“I've been to the islands with this team twice: excellent service and surprisingly tasty food! Plus they think of all the important little things, like seasickness pills or a freshwater rinse after swimming in the sea.”

А Антоха
★★★★★

“Everything was thought through down to the details. Throughout the trip they regularly offered fruit, snacks and drinks — roughly every half hour. Water is provided too, no need to bring your own. Bottom line: a great format, good organisation and attention to detail.”
