  • Anyone who wants the view of Koh Larn from the air without a boat rope attached, and who can build the day around the wind rather than a fixed hour. Children do fly — the operator's own site shows a ten-year-old after his first tandem — but no age or weight limit is published, so ask first.
  • No skill required: the pilot flies the wing, you are clipped in front of him and take a few steps down the slope at launch. The activity is weather-led, and the operator itself offers either a smooth flight or a livelier one if you ask.
  • Trainers you can run a few steps in, sunglasses, sun cream and a windproof layer — you are on an exposed ridge before and after the flight. Cash for the beach bar. If you want your flight filmed, book the video option rather than counting on your own phone.

Tandem Paragliding over Koh Larn

Jeff and Tantan were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. I booked their 10-minute paragliding package with video for ฿3,000. Unfortunately, due to the wind conditions, the flight only lasted about 7 minutes. However, Jeff generously offered me a second flight, which was a fantastic gesture. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Very professional crew! Splendid communication makes the experience so much better. Such a beautiful scenery opens up in the sky, unforgettable memories. Safety is number one priority for Fly Koh Larn. They use new equipment. I did tandem flights, also decided to join course to get certificate to fly on my own. Their Lead instructor Geoff was an excellent teacher.

FAQ

Is the price per person or for two?
Per person. A tandem carries the pilot and one passenger, and the operator's own booking slot has a capacity of one. Two of you flying means two tickets.
Do I get a video of my flight?
Only if you pick the 'Tandem Flight and Video' option, which exists on the 10-minute and 20-minute packages. The 25-minute Gold package is listed at a single price with no video option shown.
When is the Sky Park open and when are flights scheduled?
The operator gives its hours as 8:00 to 18:00, seven days a week, and the same hours appear on its Google card. The bookable tandem slots on the site's own booking form run in two daily windows, roughly 9:30–11:30 in the morning and 13:00–17:00 in the afternoon.
Is this parasailing?
No. Parasailing is a canopy towed on a rope behind a speedboat. This is free flight: the pilot launches on foot from a ridge on Koh Larn with you strapped in front of him, and the wing stays up on the lift the sea breeze makes against the hillside. There is no boat and no rope.
How much does a flight cost and what do the three levels mean?
The levels are air time, nothing else. Bronze is 10 minutes from ฿2,500, Silver 20 minutes from ฿4,500, Gold 25 minutes at ฿6,000. On Bronze and Silver the higher figure — ฿3,000 and ฿5,000 — is the same flight with the video option. The operator also sells a separate tandem 'up to 500 m' through its booking form at ฿3,500.
What happens if there is no wind?
Free flight needs the ridge to be working, so the crew fly by conditions rather than by the clock — the site carries a live wind readout on its front page. A guest review on the Google card describes a booked 10-minute flight that ran about seven minutes when the wind dropped, and a free second flight offered in return. Plan the day so a flight can move by a few hours.
How do I get to the Sky Park?
Koh Larn is reached by boat from Pattaya's Bali Hai Pier; the crossing is not part of the flight price. On the island the operator's booking form offers a pick-up from two points: the Amazon café at Na Baan pier and the 7-Eleven at Tawaen Beach. The Sky Park itself sits on the ridge above Samae Beach.
Do I need experience, and can children fly?
No experience is needed — the pilot flies, you sit in front. On children the operator publishes no age rule; its own site shows a ten-year-old boy after his first tandem flight, so children clearly do fly, but the limit is not stated anywhere. Ask before you book. The operator also publishes no weight limit, which is unusual for a tandem operation and worth a message too.
Who flies me, and are the pilots qualified?
The same school that trains solo pilots. Fly Koh Larn runs courses to FAI ParaPro standard and says a successful course is licensed by RASAT, the Thai national association that regulates the sport. Its packages describe the tandem pilots as qualified and licensed instructors, and guest reviews name the lead instructor, Geoff.
Can I fly my own wing here?
Yes — the Sky Park sells packages for visiting pilots, from €105 a day, and the operator lists airport transfers, accommodation, site fees, the ferry transfer to the island and site guidance in that package. Reviews from visiting pilots mention the site briefings by name. A tandem flight is not part of that package; it is bought separately.
