Santa Napa Chill & Relax — Four Quiet Hours to the Famagusta Ghost Town Viewpoint, Lunch Included
The quiet boat in a harbour full of loud ones: 10:30 to 14:30, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with two swim stops at the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay and a run east to the viewpoint over the Famagusta ghost town. Chicken lunch with Cypriot potatoes, salad and tzatziki is in the ticket. €35 per adult.
Ayia Napa & Protaras, Cyprus · 4h · €35 per adult for the four-hour cruise with lunch · EN
Huge thanks to the crew for the trip. We left at eleven and were back at about half past three. We stopped twice at sea to swim. The bar has ice cream and drinks, to pay for. Lunch was in the price — chicken, potatoes, two kinds of salad and bread. They hand out life jackets for swimming and masks with snorkels against a deposit. The boat is small, and that is a huge plus: there are not many people and there is no crowd.

The Santa Napa belongs to CYCRUISES, the Ayia Napa company that also runs the Black Pearl pirate ship, the Fantasy party boat and the Harmony. Within that fleet this is the deliberately calm one: the operator's own labels are "relaxing cruise" and "chill and relax", against "pirate animators" and "party boat" on its siblings. Guests describe the boat as small, which several of them count as the main advantage — there is no crowd on it.
The route runs from Ayia Napa harbour along the coast to the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay, with two swimming stops, and then east far enough to see the abandoned Varosha quarter of Famagusta from the sea. Lunch is served on board and is included: chicken with the traditional potatoes, salad and tzatziki. There is a full bar; drinks are paid for there, and guests mention ice cream too.
The operator's schedule for 2026 opens on 31 March and the cruise sails Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10:30, back at 14:30. CYCRUISES asks all clients to be at the boat thirty minutes before departure, takes bookings at least 24 hours ahead, and says its season usually runs April to October.
Two things are worth going in with your eyes open about, both from guests rather than the operator. A strong current can cancel a swim stop: one guest describes a four-hour trip that became three hours with no swimming and no partial refund. And one party arrived to find they had been put on a larger boat standing alongside while the Santa Napa itself lay empty — if the small boat is the reason you are booking, confirm the vessel by name with reservations.
What are the highlights?
- A published route that ends at the Famagusta ghost town viewpoint instead of turning back at Protaras
- Sold as a relaxing cruise, not an animated one — the same company's Black Pearl is the boat with the pirates
- Two swim stops in the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay, with life jackets and masks on board
- A hot lunch in the ticket: chicken with traditional Cypriot potatoes, salad and tzatziki

“The entertainer/host made this trip! He was excellent, very engaging and had a lot of jokes for everyone. We saw Famagusta ghost town and the blue lagoon. We weren't able to get off at the blue lagoon for a swim as the sea current was so strong and it wouldn't have been safe, which wasn't great. The four-hour trip was turned into three hours with no partial refund for not having two swim stops, but the day was still good.”
“We had booked the Santa Napa because it is not that big and a relaxed atmosphere was promised. When we got to the harbour at 10:00 for the 10:30 departure, we found a lot of big boats standing alongside and the place was very crowded at that hour. We were supposed to sail on one of those big boats. The Santa Napa was standing next to them, empty.”
“A great, entertaining experience. Tasty, well-priced drinks, good music and a very entertaining host. Several swim stops, and you can jump off the boat. The tour is in English, but it is very easy to follow and extremely entertaining. It is worth being there in good time to get a seat in the shade under the roof, because otherwise it is very hot in the sun.”
