Scubacat Sunset Cruise — Three and a Half Evening Hours to Konnos Bay and Back into the Golden Hour, Adults and Teenagers Only
The same 60-foot catamaran, the same two swimming stops, but at 15:30 instead of nine in the morning — so that the run home falls in the last hour of light. €35 per person from twelve years up, fruit on board instead of the barbecue. Tuesdays and Fridays, 15:30 to 19:00.
Ayia Napa & Protaras, Cyprus · 3h 30min · €35 per person aged 12 and over, fruit on board included · EN · DE
This boat trip was one of the highlights of our holiday. Everything was incredibly well organized, and the boat itself felt modern and very comfortable. The journey was relaxing, and the scenery along the coast was absolutely breathtaking. The crew was outstanding — friendly, welcoming, and always happy to chat. The absolute highlight of the trip was seeing sea turtles in their natural habitat. One thing to keep in mind is that if you want to use snorkeling equipment you will need to pay a refundable deposit.
What is this tour like?
The same 60-foot catamaran, the same two swimming stops, but at 15:30 instead of nine in the morning — so that the run home falls in the last hour of light. €35 per person from twelve years up, fruit on board instead of the barbecue. Tuesdays and Fridays, 15:30 to 19:00.
The operator's own framing is that the best light on the Cyprus coast lasts about an hour and the whole evening is built around it. In three and a half hours the boat covers the same southeastern coastline as the morning trip — the Ayia Napa caves, the Love Bridge, the sea caves, Cape Greco — and stops twice to swim, an hour in the Blue Lagoon and an hour in Konnos Bay, which the crew calls the turtle area. Then it turns for Ayia Napa slowly, so that the sunset is the last thing that happens rather than something you miss on the drive back.
What you give up compared with the morning is the food. There is no barbecue on this departure; fruit treats are included in the ticket and drinks are sold at the bar. What you gain is the light, a quieter boat and the option of a late-afternoon start if the summer heat is the problem rather than the schedule.
Everything else on board is unchanged: two decks, freshwater shower and toilet, free life jackets, free Wi-Fi, and snorkelling masks lent against a refundable €20 cash deposit. Alcohol brought from shore is not allowed on board.
The operator warns twice over that this schedule moves. Sunset comes earlier in autumn and the departure shifts with it; the current time is shown in the cruise description and in the booking tab, and if it changes after you have paid, you are contacted by phone or email. The route itself can also change if the weather makes it necessary. Be at the port ten minutes before departure — the boat leaves from Ayia Napa Harbour, Limanaki.
What are the highlights?
- The whole evening is built around the last hour of light: the boat turns for Ayia Napa slowly so the sunset happens at sea, not from the quay
- Two swimming stops of an hour each — the Blue Lagoon and Konnos Bay, the same ones the morning cruise makes
- Two departures a week — Tuesday and Friday — against the morning cruise's daily schedule
- Twelve and over, so it is the quieter of the operator's two cruises

- 19:00Back at the quay
