Cancún, Mexico · 10min · $75 per person for an open-time flight of about 10 min, no transfer · EN
Amazing experience. All five of our family enjoyed the parasailing experience. We parasailed in two groups, one with two people and a second with three people. My wife is apprehensive about these types of activites but loved every minute. Awesome views and amazing and funny staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We splurged for the pictures as well. They did a great job in capturing the memories. Pancho and Juan did an amazing job in making us feel at ease and have a great time. We were located at the Hard Rock Cancun hotel.

Parasail Cancun's ticket without transport: turn up at its desk in Marina Adventure Bay, Km 6.5, any time between 10:30 and 17:30, ride the water taxi out to the parasail boat and take off from its deck. The flight lasts about 10 minutes while the boat covers three miles, up to 260 ft over the Hotel Zone. $75 per person; the operator publishes no other charge on its price page.
The operator says it has been flying guests for 35 years and describes what you see from up there as the Hotel Zone, the Nichupté Lagoon, Isla Mujeres and the sandbars below — with sea turtles, dolphins and manta rays in the water, in its own words. Its boats are 30-footers built for parasailing, with a hydraulic winch and a 9 × 9 ft platform at the back, so you are clipped in and reeled back in on deck. The weight limit is 180 kg for the whole flight, whether one person flies or three, and children fly from the age of ten with an adult.
What are the highlights?
- Open time: show up at the desk any time from 10:30 to 17:30, no fixed slot to hit

- ≈10 minAbout ten minutes over the Hotel Zone
The boat runs three miles while you fly at up to 260 ft; the time varies with the wind. You stay on the radio with the crew and decide how high to go.
- —Landing back on deck
The winch reels you in to a soft landing on the same platform, feet dry unless you asked for the splash.

“Beautiful experience. At no point did I feel unsafe. You take a water taxi out to the boat that has the parasail. If there's another party already parasailing you may have a little bit of a wait. But it's a beautiful and relaxing wait. The ride can be a little discomforting on the tush while in the air, but it's well worth it. You're up for about 10 mins until they reel you in for a soft landing. I docked two star because we purchased a photo/video package that we were supposed to receive the following morning and it's been a few days now and still nothing.”
“I really liked this activity; you stay up there for about 20 minutes, which is more than enough. Personally I loved the experience, it's well worth it, you can take in the beautiful view of all of Cancún. For 2 people it came to around $3,000 Mexican pesos. The only bad point is that the crew that takes you out to board the boat gets annoyed if you don't tip them; I understand it's their job, but I don't think it's mandatory, since the tour is not cheap at all. Anyway, everything else was excellent.”
“An excellent adventure with incredible views. If you're someone who gets seasick, take Dramamine beforehand, because the trip can be a bit bumpy. Worth every peso/dollar spent.”
“Very good experience, you can see lots of little creatures in the water from above, mainly rays and turtles.”
