Eleven categories, eleven entry prices and three units: $45 per person through the mangroves, $75 per parasailing flight, $110 for two tanks at MUSA, 1,400 MXN per jet ski, $359 per fishing boat and $1,495 per sailing catamaran. With kids in Cancún and on Cozumel: the minimum ages for snorkelling, discover scuba and parasailing
Four years to board a boat on Cozumel, ten to snorkel in Cancún, three to sit in a speedboat, ten for a first dive, five for a parasail flight on one island and ten on the other: every threshold six operators print, with the supervision they require, the child rates and the three places where one page argues with itself. Per person or per craft: jet skis and parasailing in Cancún and on Cozumel
A jet ski is sold by the machine, a parasail by the seat, and that single difference decides the bill: 1,400 MXN for a machine two may share in Cancún, $75 for a machine on Cozumel, $75 a seat in the harness on both beaches. With the fees paid on the day, the arithmetic for two, and the deposit one operator prints as both 20% and $20. Checked in September 2026.

Fishing in Cancún and Cozumel: what is included and what the boat costs
Four hours of private fishing are $780 for the whole boat with Kianah's SportFishing in Cancún and 15,880 MXN, about $790, in Cozumel — one price for up to six guests, the other for up to eight. Both are per boat, so the useful number is per head: from six anglers the Cancún charter undercuts a shared seat, and the small print differs more than the price does.

Isla Mujeres: shared catamaran or private boat — where the two prices meet
A seat on the shared catamaran is $97 per adult; the private catamaran is $1,495 for the boat. Divide the second by the number of guests and the two lines only meet at fifteen — the operator's own maximum — and even there the private one stays a shade dearer. What each price includes, where the private boat really does win, and what the group size has to be.

Cenotes from Cancún: the price, the certificate and how they differ from the sea
Two tanks in a cenote are $219 per person with Only Bubbles, door to door with transport, entrance fees and lunch — about twice what two tanks in the sea cost at the same centres. A certificate is required for the dive and not for the snorkel, the day runs from a 6:30 pick-up to a mid-afternoon return, and the differences from the sea are the ones that decide whether you enjoy it.
