Wonderful sea kayaking adventure! Whether you are a beginner or an experienced paddler, Jorge will prepare a day suited to you and you'll learn much not just about paddling and surfing but also about the nature and history of the islands.
What is this tour like?
Kayak Fuerteventura is a sea kayaking centre based in the north of the island and working out of Corralejo, run by Jorge, who guides most of the trips himself. This is its short trip: the operator describes it as the right choice for families or for anyone who wants a taster at an easy, relaxed pace.
There is no fixed route. Each day the team picks the best location for the wind and the sea, and every one of them, the operator says, has good scenery and clear water. The paddle is broken by a snorkelling stop on one of the island's better reefs; before you get in, the guide shows an information sheet explaining the fish species you are about to see. Full paddling and snorkelling tuition is included, and the guide photographs the group along the way.
Departure is at 9:00 and return at 13:00. The price is 50 € per person, with discounts for groups of more than six, and covers pick-up and drop-off within Corralejo, insurance, the sea kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, wetsuit, snorkelling mask and flippers. The minimum age is 12 and the operator rates the difficulty as low. Bring sun protection, drinking water, a swimsuit and a towel; a dry bag is provided for anything else you want to take.
