Fabulous trip with Vesko. The kayaking was fun and just the right amount of challenge with the fairly choppy sea. Vesko ensured our safety throughout with clear instructions and plenty of help for oldies like me to get back into the kayak from the water after snorkelling.
What is this tour like?
This is the southern counterpart to the Corralejo kayak trips: a short, self-contained two hours from the beach of La Lajita, where the operator's school and office sit right on the sand.
The route runs along the rocky coast, with views up to the cliffs and the wild beaches of the south, and it is broken by a snorkelling stop. The instructor guides you for thirty minutes in the water, with masks and snorkels supplied, and then you get back in the kayaks and carry on along the rocks. The operator says the weather conditions here let it run these tours every day of the year — the practical consequence being that this is one of the few water products on the island that does not have a season.
The company started in Tenerife in 2013 as a dive centre, added kayak tours later, and opened its Fuerteventura school on the southern coast in 2019. Its team are qualified diving instructors, each a licensed rescue specialist and kayak instructor, and it gives briefings in English, Spanish, German, Polish, French and Russian.
The standard price is 45 € per person and 40.50 € booked online, the operator's stated 10 % online discount. Insurance is included for every client, pick-up from hotels in the south is free, and a professional licensed guide leads the group. Photographs are taken on request; several guests mention buying the pictures and video afterwards for an extra fee.

“Such an amazing experience! Worth a thousand stars! Vesko is such a joy to be around and makes you feel at ease. I don't know how to swim but I had no problem being in the water, as you are provided with life jackets. Definitely recommend!”
“I came with my two children (9 and 10). Our guide Vesko was terrific and it was a great experience for us. It is also worth looking at the photos and videos afterwards — they cost 20 € extra, but they are a lovely memento.”
