It was a great time with Jorge. We did four day trips with him and you could always tell that he knows the place inside out and enjoys passing on his island and professional sea kayaking. Happy to come back.
What is this tour like?
Beyond the Lobos crossing, Kayak Fuerteventura runs full days on other parts of the island — the ones that do not have a fixed name on a booking site because the coast decides. The operator says outright that where the day starts and finishes is decided by the wind and sea conditions and by the ability and preferences of the people paddling.
There are two packs at the same price. Pack A takes in the west coast and the north; Pack B goes to the southeast coast and includes a 40-kilometre transfer to get there. Departure is at 9:00 and return at 16:00, which makes this the longest of the operator's regular trips.
At 80 € per person, the day includes pick-up and drop-off in Corralejo, insurance, sea kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, spraydeck, wetsuit, snorkelling mask and flippers, water and lunch. Snorkelling gear is carried for anyone who wants it. The minimum age is 16 and reasonable physical condition is required; full paddling instruction is included for beginners or less experienced kayakers, and groups are formed by paddling level. Bring sun protection, a swimsuit and a towel — a dry bag is provided for everything else.

“You are in the best hands here for learning to handle wind and waves. I only had a few days of kayaking experience. Jorge managed to bring the different experience levels in our group together and lead everyone safely through rough sea.”
“I recommend getting in touch with Jorge for kayaking. We did the route to Isla de Lobos, and he is not only a great professional — it is the first time I have been taught how to handle a kayak the way professionals do, after several previous outings elsewhere.”
