Many thanks to Nico and his whole very friendly team for the four wonderful dives made from his very comfortable boat. The dive sites are full of life and I will gladly come back. Thanks too to Nico's wife for her comforting hot chocolate after the dive.
What is this tour like?
Fuerteventura Buceo is a PADI centre in Morro Jable, at the far southern tip of the island, and it dives from its own boat, Diving my Life. That matters here: the centre says it is the only one in Jandía with a boat, so the sites off the Veril are reached by sea rather than by walking gear down a beach.
The day is built around two morning departures, 09:00 and 11:00. The first dive of the day is always the Veril de Jandía — the drop-off the centre describes as spectacular, with deep bottoms and still accessible to all levels. The second goes somewhere else on the Jandía coast, chosen for the group. Between them you get the on-board café: hot and cold drinks, a snack, showers, a toilet and a dry area for your things.
Pricing is per dive and per person, which is the number to hold on to. One to four dives are 45 € each, five to eight are 40 €, nine or more are 35 €. Two dives in a morning are therefore two lines, not one. Each dive covers a checked 12-litre tank, weights, the ride out to the boat and a guide in the water. Fifteen-litre tanks and a full equipment set are booked as extras — the set is 15 € a day and includes a dive computer, single pieces 6 €. International dive insurance is compulsory at the centre and starts at 7 € for 24 hours. Taxes of 7 % IGIC sit on top of all of it.
What lives down there, in the operator's own words: the Veril de Jandía has angel sharks, groupers, trumpetfish, stingrays and eagle rays, jacks and barracuda. Named sites include Veril Grande at the Morro Jable lighthouse, two hundred metres out; Veril Chico opposite it; the Canyon west of the port, an easy dive to fourteen metres over a field of anemones; the mussel bank; and the Jandía lighthouse at the very end of the island, with small caves.

What do guests say?
“Many thanks to Nico and his whole very friendly team for the four wonderful dives made from his very comfortable boat. The dive sites are full of life and I will gladly come back. Thanks too to Nico's wife for her comforting hot chocolate after the dive.”
“Highly recommended for getting started in diving. Mónica, Sophie and Ilde helped us with the gear, gave us clear and precise instructions and were underwater with us, watching over us the whole time. Niko and Eva looked after us on the boat with hot drinks and something to eat after an almost hour-long dive.”
“Big rigid-hull boat, with drinks and snacks after the dives. The briefing was good and so was the guiding underwater. The only thing was that the number of divers sometimes made it a bit hectic.”
“From the first moment they made me feel at home. The whole team is very kind and very professional, so I felt safe at all times. The boat is perfect, with everything you need to be comfortable. Between dives they offer coffee and something to eat, a detail that makes the difference. The marine life is spectacular.”
